Affinity Education Group
Wraith Capital Group was the founding shareholder of Affinity Education Group, which was an aggregation of 68 childcare centres throughout Australia as part of a successful IPO and ASX listing in 2013. Wraith Capital Group helped drive the growth of the Affinity business to 170 centres in the 2 years following its ASX listing. Wraith Capital Group also assisted with the subsequent de-listing and sale of the Affinity business to private equity, which in turn secured a full exit for Wraith Capital Group from its investment in the Affinity business.
The Bambini Group
Wraith Capital Group previously founded and controlled the Bambini Group, which owned and operated 14 childcare centres throughout Queensland.
The group was eventually sold by Wraith Capital Group to Affinity Education Group in 2014.
Berrinba Central is a retail development located in Logan, Queensland, consisting of a service station, fast food outlets, supermarket and a community club including a bistro, bar and gaming area. Wraith Capital Group (with its Joint Venture partner) obtained the Development Approval and secured tenants for this development project. The project was then sold in 2019.
Evolve Education Group
Wraith Capital Group was the founding shareholder of Evolve Education Group, which was an aggregation of 87 childcare centres throughout New Zealand as part of a successful IPO and NZX listing in 2014. Wraith Capital Group helped drive the growth of the Evolve business to 110 centres in the 2 years following its NZX listing. Wraith Capital Group has since completed a full exit from its investment in Evolve.
Harmony Balmoral Childcare Development
Wraith Capital Group acquired this site in 2017, and over next 18 months developed the site through to completion. The state of the art centre opened in June 2019, with the freehold asset being sold to Charter Hall Education Trust upon completion.
Harmony Yarrabilba Childcare Development
Wraith Capital Group acquired this site in 2017, and over the next 24 months developed the two childcare centres through to completion. These centres opened in March 2018 and January 2019 respectively, with the freehold asset being sold to Charter Hall Education Trust upon completion of the second centre.
Reef Gateway Hotel (Business)
Wraith Capital Group was part of an investment team that acquired the Reef Gateway Hotel (freehold and business) in 2015. Working in partnership with an on-site Manager the team significantly improved the performance of the business over the ownership period. The business was then sold in 2019, and Wraith Capital Group and its partners continue to hold the Freehold asset.
